Mr. Quarles served as Executive Vice President and President, Acetyl Chain and Integrated Supply Chain at Celanese Corporation from 2015 to 2017. Prior to joining Celanese Corporation, Mr. Quarles held a variety of leadership positions at LyondellBasell Industries N.V., before serving as Senior Vice President of the Intermediates and Derivatives ("I&D") segment and the supply chain and procurement functions from January 2015 to June 2015. This time included serving as a member of LyondellBasell's Management Board from 2014 to 2015, Senior Vice President - I&D from 2009 to 2014, Senior Vice President Propylene Oxide and Derivatives from 2008 to 2009 and Vice President of Performance Chemicals from 2004 to 2008. Mr. Quarles began his career in 1990 at ARCO Chemical/Union Carbide, where he held various positions in sales, marketing and business management. Mr. Quarles earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Mr. Sami Ahmad has more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting. From 1991 through 1998 he held various positions with ARCO Chemical Company including financial analysis, marketing, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations. From 1998 through 2006 he worked for Lyondell Chemical Company as Director of Investor Relations, Assistant Treasurer, Corporate Finance and Director of Corporate Development. In December of 2007 Lyondell Chemical Company was acquired by LyondellBasell Industries, and Mr. Ahmad continued to hold the position of Director of Corporate Development. From 2009 to 2011 he was Vice-President and Treasurer of Exterran. He then served as Chief Financial Officer for Southwest Water Company, Inc. for approximately 10 months. From July 2013 through August 2016, Mr. Ahmad served as the Chief Financial Officer and Board member for Armada Water Assets, Inc. He holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Dr. Peter M. Loggenberg received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Mathematics, Honors Degree in Chemistry, Master of Science in Physical Chemistry and a PhD in Chemistry (Catalysis). He was appointed to the office of Chief Sustainability Officer in March 2018. He was President of Trecora Chemical since the Company's acquisition of SSI Chusei, Inc. in October 2014 until his appointment to Chief Sustainability Officer. He served as President of SSI Chusei, Inc. from 2010 through 2014. He continued as President of Trecora Chemical upon the Company's acquisition. He has over 25 years of experience in the chemical industry with over 15 years at the corporate level.
Mr. Townsend has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University with over 30 years of experience in the petrochemical industry garnered through his employment with Mobil Chemical Company which subsequently became ExxonMobil Chemical Company. During his tenure he held the positions of Technical Service Engineer, Technical Department Section Supervisor, Planning Associate, Operations Manager, Plant Manager and Site Manager. Mr. Townsend retired from ExxonMobil Chemical Company in 2010.
Mr. Tanner has 33 years of chemicals and polymers experience, approximately 30 of which were with LyondellBasell where he most recently served as CEO and President of BasellOrlen Polyolefins. He has diversified experience working in production, research, sales, finance and business management. Prior to LyondellBasell, Mr. Tanner worked for Dow Chemical Company. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
Prior to joining Trecora, Mr. Silberman served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary at Celanese Corporation, a Fortune 500 international diversified chemical company based in Dallas, Texas. In that role, Mr. Silberman served as the lead lawyer overseeing the legal affairs for both the global Acetyl Chain core business and the Global Supply Chain organization. Prior to that role, Mr. Silberman spent 12 years at FMC Corporation, a Fortune 1000 international diversified chemical company based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While at FMC, Mr. Silberman served as Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary during which he was chief M&A and corporate counsel. Mr. Silberman also served as division general counsel for FMC’s Health and Nutrition division which is now part of DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences. Before FMC, Mr. Silberman worked for the law firms of Morgan, Lewis, Bockius LLP and Blank Rome LLP in Philadelphia. Michael graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from Emory University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from the University of Pennsylvania.
